Hybrid Mail - post the eco way

Why Hybrid Mail is greener...

With Hybrid Mail you just need a computer with internet access, the hybrid mail company will supply the envelope, paper, printing equipment all at one low cost, often lower than the price of a stamp.

What are the eco benifits...

No need for mail items to be collected by your chosen postal provider

Hybrid Mail reduces carbon, the facts...

Hybrid Mail operators such as ViaPost can reduce the carbon footprint of your letters considerably, ViaPost have even commissioned a carbon audit to prove that its greener. Below are a few of the highlights from ViaPost's hybrid mail audit.

Royal Mail delivers more than 80 Million items of mail every working day to over 27 million addresses in the UK. To achieve this they use 153 million litres of diesel a year, Hybrid Mail from large operators such as ViaPost is printed in different locations around the UK, it is then pre-sorted and transported in bulk to Royal Mail delivery offices which reduces the requirement for redirections within Royal Mail's own network. The report indicates that due to the streamlining of these processes by hybrid mail operators significant reductions in CO2 (and other greenhouse gases) can be achieved.

The report does not advise on the significant cost reduction which is also achieved, but given the opportunity presented what business would not choose to be greener if they can make considerable cost reductions at the same time.
